Château Boyd-Cantenac: Elegance and Tradition in Margaux

Château Boyd-Cantenac, located in the heart of the Margaux appellation, is an iconic 17-hectare vineyard, ranked as a Third Growth in the prestigious 1855 classification. This estate, with origins dating back to the 18th century, has been owned by the Guillemet family since 1932. Under their management, Château Boyd-Cantenac has preserved and enhanced the authenticity of Margaux wines, offering cuvées that combine tradition and finesse.

An Exceptional Terroir Dedicated to the Vine

The Boyd-Cantenac vineyard is planted on silica-rich, lean, and well-drained gravel soils characteristic of the Quaternary period. These soils, with their ability to retain heat and allow deep vine rooting, are a major asset for cultivating the region's signature grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon.
