Château Fleur Cardinale is a Grand Cru Classé from Saint-Émilion, located in one of the most prestigious wine regions in the world. This historic estate, covering an area of 23.5 hectares, was acquired in 2001 by Dominique and Florence Decoster, former owners of Haviland porcelain in Limoges. In addition to this estate, they also purchased Château Croix Cardinale, located nearby.

Located on the clay-limestone slopes of Saint-Émilion, Château Fleur Cardinale benefits from a south/southeast exposure ideal for vine cultivation. The limestone-rich soil offers perfect conditions for producing exceptional wines. The vineyard is mainly planted with noble grape varieties:

76% Merlot: Brings richness and roundness to the wines.
22% Cabernet Franc: Contributes to the structure and elegance.
4% Cabernet Sauvignon: Adds finesse and complexity.

Under the direction of Jean-Luc Thunevin, followed by Jean-Philippe Fort, significant investments have made Château Fleur Cardinale an essential reference among the Grand Cru Classés of Saint-Émilion. The wines are vinified in stainless steel temperature-controlled tanks, allowing precise control of fermentation temperatures.

The wine is aged in new French oak barrels for 12 to 14 months. This careful process allows the wine to develop great aromatic complexity, while preserving its silky tannins and balance on the palate.
