Bodega Los Frailes
Bodegas Los Frailes covers an area of 162 hectares and has 130 hectares of vineyards. It is located in the beautiful region of Els Alforins. This environment brings together an excellent continental climate. These continental climates reach the Mediterranean Sea and limestone-sandstone soils due to the breeze. The solid and fragile silt is an ideal substrate for obtaining red with strong characteristics and a distinctive personality. A third of the vineyards are planted on strictly dry land, old vines and sage monastrell glasses between 25 and 45 years old, and the yield is very low. After the reorganization, the new plantation received trellis training, covering more traditional varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Ghana and innovative varieties with the experimental sites in Marseille and Muhede. All the plantations have passed the certification of organic farming, respect for local flora and fauna and superior climatic conditions make us commit to sustainable agriculture and respect for the environment. The harvest is done according to the taste of the grapes and the ripening under strict control. The winery is surrounded by its own vineyards, showing the perfect combination of tradition and modernity. The old wine cellar from before the 18th century consisted of underground concrete storage tanks covered with inert epoxy resin, which made it an ideal place to store and stabilize our wines. Likewise, the external conditions are also adapted to the presentation of all the old brewing equipment, and an authentic open-air brewery museum has been created. The new installations range from wine cellars producing the latest viticultural technology to buried barrels of 250 square meters, allowing our wines to age under ideal conditions of temperature and humidity.
