Domaine André Brunel: A Gem of Châteauneuf-du-Pape

The Domaine André Brunel embodies the excellence of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape terroir, a wine region renowned worldwide for its exceptional wines. Although widely recognized abroad, this family-owned estate deserves special attention in France, where it stands as one of the jewels of the appellation.

An Exceptional Vineyard

The Domaine André Brunel, more commonly known as “Les Cailloux,” spans three prestigious appellations: Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes-du-Rhône, and Vin de Pays du Vaucluse. Covering a total area of 91 hectares, the estate is distinguished by the diversity and quality of its soils, composed of rolled pebbles characteristic of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, which impart a unique complexity to the wines.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape: 21 hectares are dedicated to this prestigious appellation. Here, Grenache reigns supreme, accompanied by Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Cinsault for the reds, while Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, and Clairette make up the blends for the whites.
Côtes-du-Rhône: 40 hectares are devoted to this appellation, offering wines that, while more accessible, reflect the elegance and expertise of the estate.
Vin de Pays du Vaucluse: The remaining 30 hectares produce Vin de Pays wines, which, though less known, demonstrate the same commitment to quality and the typicity of the terroir.

A Successful Family Transition

Since February 2022, the estate has entered a new chapter in its history with Fabrice Brunel, son of André Brunel, taking the reins of the operation. With a modern vision that respects family traditions, Fabrice continues his father's work, maintaining the excellence that has built the estate’s reputation. Under his leadership, the wines continue to gain finesse and minerality, characteristic traits of the region’s stony soils.

The wines of Domaine André Brunel reflect a perfect symbiosis between tradition and innovation, where each cuvée is the result of meticulous attention and deep respect for the vine.
