Burgundy - Beaune - 1er Cru - White Wine -This Beaune 1er cru "Les Montrevenots" 2019 is a sublime 100% Chardonnay white wine produced by Domaine AF Gros. It comes from a parcel of the same name near Pommard. The vines are planted on the southern slopes of the Montagne-Saint-Désir hill, on stony, limestone-rich soil that benefits from optimum sunshine.
Tasting notes :
Colour: limpid gold.
The nose reveals notes of grapefruit, lavender and spices, adding elegant touches to the moderately exotic aromas.
On the mid-palate, the subtly stony flavours are beautifully intense and full-bodied, with a lingering finish.
12bouteilles advice: serve chilled at around 12°C. To accompany this wine, we recommend you opt for fish or seafood.
Domaine AF Gros was founded in 1988 by Anne-Françoise Gros. It is located in Burgundy, in Pommard. It covers 3,000 hectares spread over eight villages from Dijon to Corgoloin. François Parent, Anne-Françoise's husband, is the winemaker for all the vineyard's wines. Renowned the world over for his expertise, he offers a perfect expression of Pinot Noir. Today, two of their children, Caroline and Mathias, work alongside their parents.
