AF Gros : Beaune 1er cru "Montrevenots" Blanc 2020
Burgundy - Beaune - 1er Cru - White Wine -This Beaune 1er Cru "Montrevenots" white 2020, is a great dry white wine, 100% Chardonnay produced by the Domaine AF Gros. It comes from the eponymous parcel located near Pommard. The vines are planted on soil rich in limestone and pebbles making it ideal for the production of white wine on this atypical terroir. Exposed on the southern slope of the Montagne-Saint-Desire hill, the vineyard benefits from optimal sunshine throughout the day.
Tasting notes:
The dress: elegant gold colour speaks with very nice silver reflections.
Nose: a beautiful aromatic palette with aromas of grapefruit, lavender and elegant touches of moderately exotic notes.
The palate: reveals a beautiful intensity accompanied by a tasty texture, the volume in the middle of the mouth blends perfectly with the flavours of dried fruits and white flowers. A lot of depth and a light saline touch on the finish.
The 12 bottles advice: For an ideal tasting, Beaune premier cru goes perfectly with foie gras, seafood as well as some cheese like comté. We recommend serving this dry white wine at a temperature between 9°C and 11°C.
Domaine AF Gros was founded by Anne-Françoise Gros in 1988 and is located in Burgundy in Pommard. It covers 3000 hectares spread over 8 villages from Dijon to Corgoloin. François Parent, Anne-Françoise's husband, is the winemaker of all the wines of the vineyard. Recognized worldwide for his know-how, his wines are the image of a perfect expression of Pinot Noir. Today, two of their children, Caroline and Mathias work alongside their parents.
