This Richebourg Grand Cru 2020, is a sublime "breathtaking" red wine, 100% Pinot Noir, produced by Domaine AF Gros. Considered one of the greatest sites in the village of Vosne-Romanée, Richebourg is famous for its full-bodied style. It is a wine with an earthy character and dense fruit that can be kept for several years. This 2020 vintage is actually an extremely refined and unmissable vintage to combine power and supreme elegance.
Tasting notes:
The robe: is adorned with a wonderful purple colour, deep with pretty ruby reflections.
The nose: is complex and evokes a beautiful concentration of black fruit (blackcurrant, cherry), we also notice pretty floral notes like peony and violet with a light vanilla side.
The palate: is deep, and intense where the wine combines power and elegance. The tannins are silky and velvety where we find aromas of blackcurrant, and chocolate as well as a light spicy side (liquorice). The structure of this wine in the mouth suggests the exceptional ageing potential of this emblematic vintage of Burgundy.
The advice of 12Bouteilles: Richebourg Grand Cru 2020 will perfectly match the most beautiful red meats, a game accompanied by plates of ravioli with ceps and foie gras. We recommend you serve this wine at a temperature of 16-17°C in a carafe or in a bottle.
Domaine AF Gros was founded by Anne-Françoise Gros in 1988 and is located in Burgundy in Pommard. It covers 3000 hectares spread over 8 villages from Dijon to Corgoloin. François Parent, Anne-Françoise's husband, is the winemaker of all the wines of the vineyard. Recognized worldwide for his know-how, his wines are the image of a perfect expression of Pinot Noir. Today, two of their children, Caroline and Mathias work alongside their parents.
