AF Gros : Vosne-Romanée "Aux Réas" 2021

Burgundy - Vosnes-Romanée - Red Wine -

This Vosne-Romanée ‘Aux Réas’ 2021 is a sublime red wine, 100% Pinot Noir, produced by Domaine AF Gros. It comes from the Côte de Nuits vineyards at the foot of Nuits-Saint-Georges.

Tasting notes:

Colour: deep colour oscillating between purple and violet.

Nose: magnificent concentration of red fruit with hints of spice, followed by leather aromas.

On the palate: Beautiful power with a sublime roundness based on aromas of red fruit and infused fruit reminiscent of Burgundy. The palate is rich and structured, with light tannins that are full-bodied and delicious.

12Bouteilles advice: A sublime cru that will enhance a piece of red meat such as beef, game (venison, roe deer) for example. We recommend decanting this great wine at least 2 hours before drinking, to allow it to express its full aromatic potential. This wine should be drunk from 2026 and can be cellared until 2035.

Domaine AF Gros was founded by Anne-Françoise Gros in 1988 and is located in PommardBurgundy. It covers 3,000 hectares spread over 8 villages from Dijon to Corgoloin. François Parent, Anne-Françoise's husband, is the winemaker for all the vineyard's wines. Recognised worldwide for his expertise, his wines are the perfect expression of Pinot Noir. Today, two of their children, Caroline and Mathias, work alongside their parents.
