This Moulin-À-Vent in Montperay 2021 is a sublime red wine, 100% Gamay produced by Domaine AF Gros and vinified by Mathias Parent. The harvested grapes offer a beautiful maturity with a nice structure and sustained colours. The Gamay grape presents for this vintage a beautiful aromatic elegance rather turned towards red fruits.
Tasting notes:
The robe: sublime ruby colour with garnet reflections
The nose: generous with magnificent aromas of red fruits, floral and freshness, all perfectly balanced
The palate: beautiful length of the aromas, carefully balanced with floral notes like violet and cherry which dominates. The Gamay brings out all its characteristics with aromas of red berries while providing a nice depth.
12bouteilles advice: This sumptuous wine will go perfectly with black pudding and mashed potatoes or a veal chop with cream. We advise you to serve this wine at a temperature between 12°C/15°C.
The AF Gros estate was founded by Anne-Françoise Gros in 1988 and is located in Burgundy, in Pommard. It covers 3000 hectares spread over 8 villages from Dijon to Corgoloin. François Parent, Anne-Françoise's husband, is the winemaker of all the wines of the vineyard. Recognized worldwide for his know-how, his wines are the image of a perfect expression of Pinot Noir. Today, two of their children, Caroline and Mathias work alongside their parents.
