Viña Almaviva : Almaviva 2022
Central Valley - Puente Alto - Red Wine -Almaviva 2022 was born under the sign of freshness, a unique vintage and a remarkable expression of the estate's great Cabernet Sauvignon.
Cooler-than-vintages 2020 and 2021 conditions from January to harvest (between March 23 and May 14, depending on plot and grape variety) generated an optimal ripening process.
Everything points to great fruit and freshness in the grapes, tension, length and perfect balance in the wines.
Almaviva 2022 is an exceptional vintage from the Chilean superstar signed by Domaines Rothschild and Concha Y Toro.
Freshness, elegance and balance are the three hallmarks of this 2022 vintage.
Tasting note of Almaviva 2022 :
Rope: Deep, brilliant ruby
Nose: Fresh, elegant, complex. Opening notes of ripe fruit and subtle floral aromas. The bouquet then reveals striking notes of licorice and graphite.
Palate: The attack is frank and juicy, with notes of blackcurrant and raspberry. The finish reveals notes of vanilla and cocoa. The structure is delicate, the tannins soft and polished, this is a real nugget.
Aging: 20 months in new French oak barrels
Blend: 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Carménère, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot
The advice 12 botlles: This great Chilean wine has a great potential of keeping and will be perfectly matched with beef tournedos, kobe beef but also white meat, poultry. We recommend you to serve this wine at a temperature of 16°C-18°C for a better tasting.
