Antinori : Tignanello 2017 - Magnum
Toscana - Red Wine -Offered in Magnum (1.5 litres) Tignanello 2017 is a great classic from Italy, produced in Tuscany by the Marchesi Antinori estate. It is produced from a parcel of about 57 hectares, with limestone-rich soils and a southwestern exposure above sea level. The wine, originally called "Chianti Classico Riserva vigneto Tignanello" (a Chianti Classico Riserva from the Tignanello vineyard), was first produced from a single parcel in 1970. In 1971, it became a Tuscan red table wine rather than a Chianti Classico and was called Tignanello.
Tasting note:
The robe: ruby-red colour
The nose: notes of ripe red fruits such as sour cherries, raspberries and plums complement delicate spicy aromas of clove and liquorice; sweet balsamic notes of mint and chocolate complete its complex bouquet
The palate: a rich, full and vibrant wine with soft and velvety tannins. Its long finish and lingering aftertaste are reminiscent of the aromatic notes perceived on the nose
The advice of 12bouteilles: Tignanello 2016 is to keep for a few years before tasting at a temperature of 16 ° C. For a perfect match, serve it with a Mediterranean dish like Caponata.
The Antinori wineries, headed by Piero Antinori, in the Chianti region are among the most famous wines in Tuscany. It is a dynasty of winemakers for 26 generations, the historic heart of the operation is the Palazzo Antinori in Florence.
