Champagne Bollinger - La Grande Année 2015 Rosé
Champagne - Champagne - Rosé wine -Offered here in rosé Champagne, La Grande Année 2015 is a vintage Champagne, the interpretation of an exceptional year and the embodiment of the craftsmanship of the House of Bollinger.
A blend of 62% Pinot Noir and 38% Chardonnay, from 11 crus: mainly Verzenay, Aÿ and Mareuil sur Aÿ for the Pinot Noir, Chouilly and Avize for the Chardonnay. 5% red wine from La Côte aux Enfants. Fermentation takes place entirely in oak barrels.
Bollinger only vintages very high quality harvests, so the 2015 vintage has produced a wine that is both textured and elegant.
Maturation: Under cork, for a maturation time in the cellar that is more than twice as long as the Appellation rules.
Dosage: Moderate, 7 grams per litre.
Tasting of La Grande Année 2015 Rosé :
To the eye: A colour with delicate pink tints.
To the nose: A nose that concentrates on primary aromas, offering us a gourmet composition of fruit, blending strawberry juice, mandarin orange and rhubarb.
To the palate: A silky attack, the prelude to a pulpy, juicy wine. On the palate, stone fruit sets the tone, before giving way to a finish with notes of blood orange, this harmony forming an elegant, tannic framework. A fine film of fat remains on the finish, bringing the tasting to a close.
