Soufrandière: Pouilly-Vinzelles "Les Longeays" 2020
Burgundy - Pouilly-Vinzelles - White Wine -Recognized as one of the hottest years of the 20th century for the Burgundy vineyard, the 2020 vintage is marked by its precocity - which was observed from budburst to harvest - as well as its climatic hazards (drought). On the other hand, all the actors of the sector are unanimous, the 2020 harvest has produced excellent juices, of great quality, full of freshness and with superb balance.
The Pouilly-Vinzelles climat "Les Longeays" 2020 is a plot of land Domaine de la Soufrandière on one of the most beautiful terroirs of Vinzelles. The parcel has 0.58ha of Chardonnay vines with an average age of 40 years. The vines are exposed East/South-East and rest on a clay-limestone soil, rich in iron oxide.
Tasting notes:
The robe: pale yellow with bright green reflections.
The nose: deep notes of acidulous fruits, citrus fruits, mixed with softer notes of almond and white flowers
The palate: A greedy attack, a fresh and mineral mouth and a long and structured finish
The advice of 12Bouteilles:
Even if it can be appreciated in its youth, this great Burgundy wine deserves to be kept for 2 to 5 years in the cellar, allowing it to reveal all its aromatic potential. Sublime with soft cheese, white meat or marinated fish, we advise you to serve it chilled around 12°-13°C.
