La Soufrandière: Mâcon-Vinzelles "Le Clos de Grand Père" 2022

Burgundy - Mâcon-Vinzelles - White Wine -

This Mâcon-Vinzelles "Le Clos de Grand Père" 2021 is a 100% Chardonnay, organic white wine from Burgundy produced by the famous Domaine de la Soufrandière. The "little brother" of Pouilly-Vinzelles, this one comes from a 60-year-old parcel, located at the foot of the hill of Pouilly-Vinzelles, forming a very old Clos on a rocky vein of hard limestone. This cuvée owes its name to the owner's maternal grandfather who inherited it from his maternal grandfather.

Tasting notes:

The robe: pale yellow

The nose: floral and yellow fruit notes (peach, apricot)

The palate: frank attack, the mouth is lively and endowed with a beautiful minerality

The advice of 12bouteilles: To be served at a temperature of about 12°C, this wine will perfectly accompany poultry.

The Domaine La Soufrandière is a reference in the field of winemaking in the Mâconnais region of Burgundy. Founded in 1999 by the Bret brothers, this family estate extends over twenty hectares of vines cultivated in biodynamic agriculture.

Their wines, made from Chardonnay, perfectly reflect the expression of the terroir and are recognized for their high quality. The Bret brothers attach great importance to respect for the environment and biodiversity, and this is reflected in their approach to production.
