Bret Brothers : Mâcon-Igé Climat "Les Vernayes" 2022
Burgundy - Mâcon-Igé - White Wine -This Mâcon-Igé Climat "Les Vernayes" 2022 is a parcel-based, 100% Chardonnay cuvée produced by the Bret Brothers. It comes from the eponymous village, located in this long clay-limestone valley, starting in the South at La Roche-Vineuse, then ending in Cruzille in the North, having crossed the villages of Verzé, Igé, Azé and Bissy-La Mâconnaise.
The grapes are harvested by hand, pressed in whole bunches, indigenous yeasts, 20% vinified and aged in rooms (228 l barrels) for 11 months. 80% in stainless steel tanks. Only sulfite input: 50mg/l added.

Bret Brother is a negoce located in Burgundy, founded in 2001 by two brothers: Jean-Philippe and Jean-Guillaume Bret. Also, owners of Domaine de la Soufrandière, they produce great terroir wines from the Mâconnais region but also Beaujolais wines since 2013 which complete the range.
Selection of micro plots of old vines, manual harvest, since 2019, 100% of the grapes purchased are certified organic or in conversion. Today, they produce about 50 000 bottles for 14 different vintages on a total of about 8 ha.
