Champagne Lanson - Clos Lanson 2010

Champagne - Champagne - Blanc de Blancs -

Clos Lanson 2010 is a great Champagne, made from a single parcel of 1 hectare of Chardonnay grown biodynamically, located in the heart of Reims, with a breathtaking view of the Cathedral of the Kings of France.
The wines are aged in oak barrels, then aged on laths for 12 years. The dosage is 3gl/L, and this is an Extra Brut.
This is a rare Champagne, with 4628 bottles and 254 magnums in the 2010 vintage.
The nose is highly aromatic, combining aromas of flowers, fruit such as apricot and spices such as white pepper.
The palate is powerful from the outset, with very fine, invigorating bubbles. The finish is elegant, with flavours of ginger, tobacco and toast.

2010 was one of the coolest and driest years in recent decades. It wasn't until mid-August that rainfall combined with rising temperatures enabled the Chardonnays to ripen quickly and generously.
The harvest at Le Clos took place on 12 September in glorious sunshine, and required a demanding selection process to ensure that only perfectly ripe grapes were kept. After twelve years on the lees, the Clos Lanson wines reveal a remarkable elegance and lightness, the hallmarks of this vintage.

Located in the heart of Reims, Clos Lanson is the only remaining hectare of vines within the historic city walls. Protected by high walls, this parcel of Chardonnay dating from the 18th century offers a breathtaking view of the Cathedral of the Kings of France. Situated just above the House cellars, Clos Lanson is cultivated like a real garden, thanks to its unique location and the special care it receives every day. The chalky soil and microclimate at Clos Lanson enable us to produce an exceptional Champagne in a very limited number of bottles each year.

The advice of 12bouteilles : Placed under the sign of duality, this fresh and warm champagne is the perfect accompaniment to cooked and raw dishes, such as meat or seafood. A very large champagne that can be served as an aperitif for dessert with large dishes for this very large bottle.
