Château Beauregard 2021 is a wine that we really liked, an elegant Beauregard, vinified with precision and delicacy. A beautiful aromatic complexity and great length on the palate.
The wine is balanced with silky tannins, a beautiful freshness and crisp fruit.
To the eye, it is an intense red colour with violet highlights
On the nose, black fruits emerge, blackcurrants and cherries, followed by woody and vanilla notes
On the palate, the attack is straightforward and fruity, combined with a lovely freshness and harmonious length.
The blend for the 2021 vintage is 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc
Aged for 18 months, 45% in new barrels and part in terracotta amphorae.
The vineyard is farmed organically and produces organic wines.
Château Beauregard was taken over by the Moulins (Galleries Lafayette) and Cathiard(Smith Haut Lafitte and Caudalie) families. Major work has been carried out over the last 5 years, and the quality of the wine has improved considerably.
12bouteilles advice: Decant the bottle at least 2 hours before serving, and serve chilled at around 18°C. It goes wonderfully with red meats and cheeses.
