Château Beychevelle 2021 is a bottle we adore, a dense, fleshy wine with great freshness and elegance.
With very ripe black fruit (cherry, blackcurrant), the palate is full, long and greedy. We particularly appreciated the finesse of the tannins and the freshness of the ripe fruit.
The blend for the 2021 vintage is 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc.
The wines are aged in French oak barrels, 70% of which are new.
12bouteilles advice: Keep this magnificent bottle in your cellar, but if you do open it, decant it for at least 2 hours and serve chilled at around 18°C. It goes perfectly with meats and firm cheeses.
In the appellation Saint-Julien, you may also like Château Léoville Las Cases,Château Léoville Poyferré, Château Léoville Barton,Château Ducru-Beaucaillou, Chateau Branaire Ducru,Chateau Lagrange, Chateau Saint Pierre, Chateau Talbot. ..
