Château Bouscassé “Vieilles Vignes” is a single-plot cuvée from the Château.
This 2015 vintage delivers a delicate bouquet of cigar and Mocha wood on the nose. Fleshy and concentrated, extremely tasty, with well-blended tannins. The finish is long and persistent.
Twelve to Fourteen months of 100% aging in new French oak barrels have given the wine great ability to age.
The blend is made up of 100% Tannat, Madiran's emblematic grape variety, on vines 50 to 100 years old.
The advice of 12bouteilles: Already delicious to drink if you like young, powerful wines and if you take care to decant them. It gradually acquires its mature characteristics while retaining its fruit (keeping potential 8 to 15 years). Be sure to decant it absolutely, before serving it between 16°C and 18°C. This red goes wonderfully with duck, game and red meats.
