Bordeaux - Saint-Estèphe - 3e Cru Classé - Red Wine -The 2021 vintage of Château Calon Ségur has great finesse, a fine balance of fruit and very elegant tannins.
To the eye, an intense red colour with purple highlights
On the nose, red fruits such as raspberry come to the fore, followed by woody and vanilla notes
On the palate, the attack is powerful, still firm, well-fruited, combined with good length and plenty of freshness. The finish is elegant, with silky tannins that are still very present.
Château Calon Ségur 2021 is a wine that won us over as soon as it was presented at the primeurs, a truly powerful and complex Saint Estèphe to be kept for many years in your cellar.
The blend of the 2021 vintage is made up of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% MerlotMerlot, 11% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot
The wine is aged 100% in new barrels for 20 months.
12bouteilles advice: A wine that will wait a few years in your cellar, but that you can already enjoy with great pleasure. Decant the bottle at least 6 hours before serving and serve chilled at around 18°C. It goes wonderfully with red meats and cheeses.
In the appellation , you can also discover Chateau Lafon Rochet, Château Montrose, Château Phélan-Ségur, Château Haut-Marbuzet and Château Cos d'Estournel.
