Bordeaux - Saint-Estèphe - Red Wine -C de Calon Ségur is the third wine of Château Calon Ségur, which until the 2018 vintage was called Saint Estèphe de Calon Ségur.
This wine, aged like the first and second wines of the château (Marquis de Calon Ségur), has great finesse, a fine balance between fruit and elegant tannins.
Tasting of the 2022 vintage
To the eye, an intense red colour with violet highlights
On the nose, red fruits such as raspberry emerge, followed by woody and vanilla notes
On the palate, the attack is greedy and well-fruited, with good length and plenty of freshness. The finish is elegant with silky tannins.
This 2022 vintage will be available from May 2025.
The blend is made up of 16% Cabernet Sauvignon and 84% Merlot,
The wine is aged 100% in 3-year-old barrels for 14 months.
The 12bottle tip : A wine that will wait a few years in your cellar but that you can already enjoy with great pleasure. Decant the bottle at least 6 hours before, serve the wine chilled at around 18°c. It will go wonderfully with red meats and cheeses.
In the appellation Saint Estèphe , you can also discover Chateau Lafon Rochet, Château Montrose, Château Phélan-Ségur, Chateau Haut-Marbuzet or Château Cos d'Estournel.
