The 2018 vintage of Château Canon la Gaffelière impressed us with the quality and finesse of the wines.
The color has a beautiful dark color with purple reflections,
The nose opens with notes of red fruits, then liquorice and flowers.
On the palate the wine is smooth, velvety with silky tannins. The wine is elegant with a long finish.
The blend of the 2018 vintage is made up of 50% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The wine was aged for 16 months in oak barrels, 50% of which were new.
Château Canon La Gaffelière is a Premier Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion and certified organic in 2014. It has been owned by Count von Neipperg since 1971 and since 1984 managed Stephan Von Neipperg.
