Croix Canon 2016 - Second wine of Château Canon
Bordeaux - Saint-Émilion - 2nd Wine - Red Wine -Croix Canon 2019 is a favourite, we loved the balance and fullness of this Saint Emilion Grand Cru.
Crafted with the same high standards as the Premier vin, Château Canon, Croix Canon is a complex wine combining fruity and mineral notes with a texture of great refinement.
Great quality and great value for money
Appearance: beautiful dark and intense color
The nose: reveals intense, fine, fruity, subtle, spicy notes with a flavor of raspberry, wild blackberry with a hint of vanilla.
Palate: A soft and airy attack, the wine is complex and structured
Ageing: 18 months in French oak barrels, 25% of which are new barrels.
Blend: 80% Merlot 20% Cabernet Franc.
Château Canon, a 1er Grand Cru Classé B de Saint Émilion, Château Canon, owned by the Wertheimer family (Maison Chanel) since 1996, is situated on exceptional soil. It covers an area of 34 hectares in a single block on the outskirts of the village of Saint-Émilion, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Like its neighbour Château Clos Fourtet, Château Canon's wine storehouses are located under the vineyards in cellars. The grape varieties are 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc with 25-year-old vines.
Tip for 12 bottles: Decant the bottle at least 2 hours before tasting, we recommend a nice grilled meat on the barbecue
