The 2021 vintage of Château Cantenac Brown is a beautiful deep ruby colour. The nose is intense, fruity and floral, with scents of black cherries, blackcurrants and fresh roses. On the palate, the attack is fresh, with elegant, silky tannins. The wine is beautifully fresh, with a fine balance between acidity and roundness. The finish is long and persistent.
The blend for the 2021 vintage is 73% Cabernet Sauvignon and 27% Merlot.
The wines are matured in French oak barrels, 60% of which are new and 40% one-wine barrels.
Château Cantenac Brown, 3rd Cru Classé in 1855, is a great red wine not to be missed in the Margaux appellation.
12bottles' advice: This great wine can be enjoyed now, in which case decant at least 2 hours before serving to allow it to air out. It should be served at 16 to 18°C and will go wonderfully with white meats.
In the Margaux appellation, you may also like Château Margaux, Château Palmer, Château Rauza-Ségla, Château Giscours, Château d'Issan, Château Prieuré Lichine, Château Lascombes, Château Malescot Saint Exupéry, ...
