In this 2021 vintage, Château Carbonnieux is a well-balanced, light, fruity wine that will be delicious to drink now.
This is a well-balanced wine with silky tannins.
To the eye, the wine is crimson in colour with purple tints
On the nose, black fruits emerge, blackcurrants and cherries, followed by chocolate, wood and vanilla notes
On the palate, the attack is straightforward and fruity, combined with a beautiful elegance and freshness with all the finesse of a Pessac Léognan wine.
Over the last few years and vintages, the wines of Château Carbonnieux have made great progress in terms of quality, and this progress is clearly visible.
The blend of the 2021 vintage is composed of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot, 7% Cabernet Franc.
The 2021 vintage was matured for 18 months in French oak barrels, 40% of which were new.
12Bouteilles advice: If you like young, fruity, crisp wines, enjoy this bottle straight away. Decant the bottle at least 2 hours before serving and serve chilled at around 18°C. It is the perfect accompaniment to red meats and cheeses.
