Château Chasse Spleen 2016
Bordeaux - Moulis - Cru Bourgeois - Red Wine -Château Chasse Spleen 2016 is a fabulous Cru Bourgeois from the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation. Owned by the Merlaut family since 1976, Château Chasse Spleen is a reference in the Médoc for quality wines.
This 2016 vintage is applauded by the greatest oenology critics such as Wine Advocate Parker who said "It's a fabulous Spleen-Hunt, the best I've ever tasted in the field."
This 2016 vintage is made from a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc, and is adorned with a bright, deep ruby color.
Its nose is a clear and expressive bouquet of black cherries and fresh red roses, which release notes of blackberry and pink pepper after shaking.
In the mouth, the attack is dense, ample and frank. The palate is voluminous with fine and strong tannins, introducing a lingering finish with hints of liquorice and cocoa.
The advice of 12bouteilles: This Château Chasse Spleen 2016 enjoys a great aging potential, its peak is between 2022 and 2045. To be served around 16 °, it will be perfect as an aperitif accompanied by a platter of fine charcuterie, it will certainly make the happiness of all your guests.
