Blason d'Issan 2016

Bordeaux - Margaux - 2nd Wine - Red Wine -

Blason d’issan is the second wine of the Château d'issan, third Grand Cru Classé in 1855 of the Margaux appellation. It is made from a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon vines ripened in 35% new oak.

The nose is a light, slightly earthy bouquet with aromas of blackberry. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly crunchy tannins with gourmet aromas of toasted almonds and fruit. A 2016 vintage of great freshness that is both fleshy and extremely fine.

This second wine of the Château d'issan, gourmand, round and fruity, is a sure bet for the Margaux appellation.

The advice of 12bouteilles: This gourmet wine is destined to be tasted more quickly than its elder, between 2023 and 2038. We advise you to carafe it at least one hour before tasting it. Serve between 16 and 18 ° C.
