To the eye, it is an intense red colour with violet highlights
On the nose, black fruits emerge, blackcurrants and cherries, followed by woody and vanilla notes
On the palate, the attack is straightforward and fruity, combined with good length, freshness and the acidity needed to make this a wine to keep for a long time.
Château d'Issan is a well-balanced wine with silky tannins and the great finesse so characteristic of Margaux wines.
The blend of the 2021 vintage is composed of 30% Merlot, 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot.
The 2021 vintage was matured in oak barrels, 50% of which were new.
