Château de la Chaize : Côte de Brouilly Lieu-dit "Brulhie" 2019
Beaujolais - Côte de Brouilly - Red Wine -Côte de Brouilly "Brulhie" is the signature of Château de La Chaize. During this vintage 2019, this vintage is already presented as an exceptional vintage coated by fine and round tannins with a beautiful aromatic palette on nice notes of red fruits. A very promising wine in the long term.
The view is adorned with a sublime dark purple color
The nose presents magnificent notes of black fruits, morello cherries, with a slight spicy side to which is added a mineral and graphite intensity.
The palate reveals a frank and ample attack. It is marked by a unique greediness of red fruits, black fruits, sweet spices associated with a minerality and a great balance. The aromatic palette is powerful with complexity and a beautiful persistent length.
This 2019 lieu-dit "Brulhier" from Château de La Chaize is a Côte de Brouilly wine composed of 100% Gamay Noir from a steep vineyard of 0.5 hectares of vines. Located on the southern flank of Mont Brouilly at an altitude between 400 and 425 meters, the south-facing vines rest on a soil made up of Diorite de Brouilly (andesite) also called "blue stone";
Château de la Chaize is a family property where the descendants of the founder, Jean-François de la Chaize d'Aix, have watched over the Château and its vineyard for 350 years. In 2007, they finally passed it on to another family, that of Christophe Gruy. With his nephew Boris Gruy, Christophe developed an organic conversion, then biodynamic, in order to promote a high-end vinification to get the best of the grape varieties.
Since then, the teams have never stopped renewing themselves and innovating to reach one objective: to make Château de la Chaize one of the jewels of its region. To give itself the means, the estate offers you to discover the Beaujolais according to a parcel-by-parcel approach.
This vineyard of 150 hectares of vines in the process of organic conversion will surprise you with the richness of its terroir and the diversity of its vineyards.
The advice 12bouteilles: This parcel selection can be enjoyed now or kept for 10 years. It is ideal to serve this wine at a temperature of 14°C. We recommend you to accompany it with a braised beef with carrots, a rabbit with basquaise or a roast turkey with prunes.
