Château de la Négly : Le Clos des Truffiers 2021
Languedoc - Languedoc - Red Wine -Clos des Truffiers 2021 is the signature of an exceptional vintage and cuvée made by Château la Négly. This vintage offers a sublime wine, marked by its aromatic complexity associated with very fine and elegant tannins.
Tasting notes :
The robe : is a beautiful and intense ruby red.
The nose reveals magnificent aromas of black raspberry, blackberry liqueur, minerals, violet and espresso coffee as well as bewitching woody notes.
The palate : is ample, smooth with a touch of minerality. It reveals a great aromatic richness with notes of crème de cassis, licorice, cocoa and a peppery side. This velvety, enveloping and voluptuous wine spreads on the palate and coats the hardest to reach corners of the palate.
The 12bouteilles advice : This parcel-based cuvée has an ageing potential of between 10 and 15 years and will go perfectly with tournedos rossini or a woodcock with string and its toast soaked with the cooking juices. We advise you to decant it before serving.
Located on the heights of the commune of Saint Pargoire in the Hérault, "Le Clos est Truffiers 2021" is made from a blend of mostly (80%) and (20%). Le Clos looks out to sea, the initial planting had as a particularity a truffle oak planted every 10 stumps. This originality allowed to bring truffle aromas.
The Château de la Négly is located in Occitanie, facing the Mediterranean Sea, in the massif of La Clape. Thanks to an exceptional privileged geographical situation, a unique alchemy of the elements takes place: caressed by the sea spray, tossed between the Tramontane and the sea wind, this sun-drenched land captures the heat to warm the grapes which are gorged with golden light.
This vineyard has a surface of 70 hectares of vines where several families have succeeded each other at the head of the domain. The Paux-Rosset family will definitively direct the vineyard towards a qualitative production in integrated agriculture. The cultivation method was modified and the vines were entirely re-seeded. Moreover, with the help of the oenologist Mr. Claude Gros, they decided to completely review the entire wine-making process by turning to sustainable agriculture.
The wines of their terroirs are renowned for their iodized character with a lot of freshness, minerality and race. The whites are subtle and of great aromatic finesse. The reds are greedy, dense and complex. The main grape varieties for the reds are Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah which is predominant in our region. For the whites, they mainly grow Bourboulenc, Clairette, Marsanne and Roussane.
