The 2021 vintage is the 1st to be vinified in the Château's new cellar.
Tasting of the 2021 vintage
The grapes produced were ripe, rich and highly aromatic.
To the eye, the colour is an intense red, almost black, with purple tints
On the nose, black fruits emerge, blackberries and bilberries, followed by woody and spicy notes
On the palate, the attack is frank, fruity and harmonious, finishing with silky tannins and an endless length..
Château Figeac has just been named 1er Grand Cru classé A in the new Saint Emilion 2022 Classification.
The blend for the 2021 vintage is made up of 31% Cabernet Franc, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 29% Merlot.
100% of the wine is matured in new oak barrels.
12bouteilles advice: This bottle is best left in your cellar for a few years, as it will improve with age! If you feel like tasting it, decant the bottle at least 6 hours before serving. It's the perfect accompaniment to red meats and cheeses.
