In this 2021 vintage, Château Gloria is a wine of great elegance, with a fine structure, charming black fruit and fine aromatic complexity.
The wine is balanced with silky tannins, freshness and crisp fruit.
To the eye, the colour is an intense red with violet highlights
On the nose, black fruits emerge, blackcurrants and cherries, followed by woody and vanilla notes
On the palate, the attack is straightforward and fruity, combined with a lovely freshness and harmonious length.
The blend is made up of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 14% Petit Verdot.
The wine is matured in French oak barrels, 50% of which are new and the rest in 1 and 2 year old barrels, for 14 months.
12bottle suggestion: Decant the bottle at least 2 hours before serving, and serve chilled at around 18°c. It goes wonderfully with red meats and cheeses.
In the appellation Saint-Julien, you may also like Château Léoville Las cases, Château Léoville Poyferré, Château Léoville Barton, Château Ducru-Beaucaillou, Chateau Beychevelle, Chateau Branaire Ducru, Chateau Lagrange, Chateau Talbot ...
