Chateau Grand Puy Ducasse 2021 is a distinctive Pauillac, characteristic of the Cabernet Sauvignon of the Médoc. Powerful, rich and tannic. A great wine for laying down!
To the eye, the wine is crimson in colour with purple highlights.
The nose is dominated by black fruit: blackcurrant, cherry, followed by hints of cedar.
On the palate, the wine's balance charms, combining power and finesse. The wine is long and full-bodied, with crisp, silky tannins.
The blend for the 2021 vintage is made up of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon and 32% Merlot.
The wine was matured in oak barrels, 35% of which were new and 65% one-wine barrels.
12-bottle recommendation: Keep in your cellar, but if you open this magnificent bottle, decant it for at least 3 hours and serve chilled at around 18°C. It goes perfectly with red meats and firm cheeses.
