In this 2021 vintage, Château Grand Puy Lacoste is a balanced, elegant wine with plenty of freshness.
The grapes produced were ripe, rich and very aromatic.
To the eye, the colour is an intense red, almost black, with violet highlights
On the nose, black fruits emerge, cherries, blackberries, bilberries, followed by woody and spicy notes
On the palate, the attack is fresh, fruity and harmonious, finishing with silky tannins.
The blend for the 2021 vintage is 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot.
The wine is matured in French oak barrels, 75% of which are new.
12bouteilles' advice: This bottle should be forgotten for a few years in your cellar, as time will improve it! If you feel like tasting it, decant the bottle at least 6 hours before serving. It will go wonderfully with red meats and cheeses.
In the appellation Pauillac , you may also like Châteaux Latour, Laffite Rothschild, Mouton Rothschild, Pontet Canet, Lynch-Bages, Pedesclaux, Pichon Baron, Pichon Lalande...
