Château Haut-Bailly is owned by Robert Wilmers. One of the particularities of Château Haut Bailly is to produce only red wines, on a 28-hectare area of vines, the grape varieties consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Haut Bailly II 2018 is the second wine of the château, is a blended wine, vinified in the same way as Château Haut-Bailly.
Tasting notes :
The dress : Purple red
The nose: fine, with hints of red fruits.
The palate : A frank attack, the wine is fresh, juicy, fruity, with a beautiful silky tannic structure.
The 12bouteillese suggestion: benefits from an excellent ageing potential for a second wine, about 10 years in the cellar or more. It goes wonderfully with a duck confit.
