Bordeaux - Pessac-Leognan - 2nd Wine - Red Wine -Clarence Haut-Brion 2021 has a beautiful, intense purple colour.
The nose gives off beautiful aromas of ripe black fruit (cherry, blackcurrant) followed by spicy wood notes of great elegance.
The palate is tight and flavoursome, then the wine moves forward, dense and powerful, but never dry.
The tannins are tight and coated. Lovely length on the palate, fruity and pleasant. Superb Clarence, faultless and very well-balanced.
Clarence de Haut-Brion 2021 is the second wine of Château Haut-Brion in the Pessac Léognan appellation.
The blend of the 2021 vintage is composed of 70% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Cabernet Franc.
The wines were aged in oak barrels, with 28% new barrels.
