Château L'Evangile 2018 is a very fine wine with a good length in the mouth. Composed of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc.
the color is intense red, garnet
the nose releases notes of black fruits such as cherry, liquorice and vanilla.
the palate is long with lots of fruit, then silky tannins that spread across the palate, a magnificent explosive finish.
In Pomerol, you can't miss Château L’Évangile and its orange cellar. The property is surrounded by Châteaux Pétrus, Gazin, la Conseillante on the most beautiful terroirs of the Pomerol appellation.
The property dates from the 18th century, it belonged to the Léglise family and bore the name "Fazilleau". It was not until the 19th century that the estate took the name of Château L’Evangile and then represented 13 hectares. In 1862, the castle was bought by Paul Chaperon and his heirs will be the owners until 1990. In 1990, the Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) acquired the Château l'Evangile. Today, the château has 22 hectares of Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
The Domaines Barons de Rothschild have renovated the cellar and restored the vineyard.
A second wine has been created: the Blason de L'Évangile. The great wine of Château de L'Évangile is therefore today only made from a rigorous selection of plots, which produces a suave, deep and very delicious wine, which is one of the best of the appellation.
