La Conseillante 2020 is a magnificent wine, "simply stunning" according to wine advocate, rated 97-99/100 by Wine Advocate.
The nose presents complex aromas of black fruit, then hints of cocoa and vanilla.
On the palate the attack is smooth, well-balanced, then silky tannins that are still very much present take their place. The 2020 vintage was aged 70% in new French oak barrels, 27% in one-wine barrels, 3% in amphorae.
The 2020 vintage blend is made up of Merlot (87%), cabernet franc (13%).
The 12bottle advice : A fantastically rich bottle that can wait for many years in your cellar. If you want to enjoy it now, decant this bottle at least 6 hours before serving at around 16°.
You may also like the following wines from the Pomerol appellation Vieux Chateau Certan, Châteaux Gazin, Clinet, Nénin, Beauregard, Petit-Village, Clos l'Eglise, l'Evangile, La Conseillante ...
