Magnum - Clos la Gaffelière 2016
Bordeaux - Saint-Émilion - 2nd Wine - Red Wine -Château La Gaffelière is the property of the Malet Roquefort family, the oldest owners in Saint Emilion. Classified as 1er Grand Cru B, the wines of the Château are typical Saint-Emilion with a predominance of Merlot.
Clos la Gaffelière is the second wine of the Château, it benefits from the same attentions of vinification and aging as the 1st wine, aged in oak barrels for 12 months. From the youngest vines of the property, it remains more accessible than the first wine and will quickly be ready to drink.
Offered in 1.5 liters magnum, this 2016 vintage is already a very pleasant vintage to drink. It can be kept in the cellar for many years.
It is adorned with a dark red dress. The nose presents a beautiful intensity dominated by ripe fruits. In the mouth, we find lightness, the wine is tasty with taste in the middle for a soft finish.
Our advice 12bottles: We like young wines, this one, decanted 2 hours before serving, is a pure delight on a cheese platter or white meat.
