Clos la Gaffelière is the second wine of Château la Gaffelière in Saint Emilion. It benefits from the same careful vinification and ageing as the 1st wine, aged in oak barrels for 12 months. The percentage of new barrels is 25%
Made from the estate's youngest vines, this wine is more accessible than the first wine and will be ready to drink very quickly.
The blend for the 2021 vintage is 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc.
Château la Gaffelière is owned by the Malet Roquefort family, the oldest owners of Saint-Émilion. Classified as a 1er Grand Cru B, the Château's wines are typical Saint-Emilion wines, predominantly Merlot.
