In this 2021 vintage, Chateau La Louvière red is a well-balanced wine with a lovely freshness.
The grapes produced were ripe, rich and very aromatic.
To the eye, a cherry-red colour with violet highlights
On the nose, black fruits such as blackberry and blueberry come through, followed by woody and spicy notes
On the palate, the attack is fresh and fruity, finishing with harmonious tannins.
The blend for the 2021 vintage is 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The wines were matured for 12 months, 10% in terracotta amphorae and 90% in French oak barrels, half of which were new.
12bouteilles advice: This bottle is already delicious to drink now. Decant the bottle at least 2 hours before serving. It will go wonderfully with red meats and cheeses.
In the appellation Pessac Léognan, you may also like the following Châteaux Haut-Brion, la Mission Haut-Brion, Carbonnieux, Haut-Bailly, Malartic-Lagravière, Latour-Martillac, Smith Haut-Lafitte, Domaine de Chevalier, les Carmes Haut-Brion...
