Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Lafon-Rochet gives up subtle cassis and black cherry notes with hints of sautéed herbs, damp soil and pencil lead. Medium-bodied and slightly thin in the mouth, it has a well-played chewy texture and nice freshness, finishing with an herbal lift.
Château Lafon-Rochet is today one of the wonders of the Saint Estèphe appellation, thanks to the hard work of the Tesseron family. Château Lafon-Rochet is a 4ème Grand Cru Classé, it is a wine that is both simple and complex, it expresses black fruit aromas in most vintages, there is a real melting pot and a particular expression specific to Saint Estèphe, a certain warmth and roundness with finesse born of the Merlot grape variety.
The advice for 12 bottles: Decant to enjoy the aromas. Serve chilled around 17°C. It will be the perfect accompaniment to your grilled meats
