Château Lafon Rochet 2021
Bordeaux - Saint-Estèphe - 4e Cru Classé - Red Wine -In this 2021 vintage, Château Lafon Rochet is a well-balanced wine with a great deal of finesse and all the power of Saint Estèphe wines.
The colour is an intense red with violet highlights.
The nose is dominated by red fruits such as raspberries and redcurrants, followed by woody notes and an elegant vanilla flavour.
On the palate, the attack is greedy with crunchy fruit and a long finish with plenty of freshness. The finish is elegant with silky tannins.
The blend of the 2021 vintage is made up of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc , 1% Petit Verdot.
The 2021 vintage was matured for 12 months in French oak barrels, 50% of which were new.
12bouteilles advice: A magnificent bottle, if you decide to open it, it will be a great pleasure. Decant the bottle at least 3 hours before serving, and serve the wine chilled at around 18°C. It goes wonderfully with red meats and cheeses.
In the Saint-Estèphe appellation, you may also like Château Cos d’Estournel, Château Montrose, Château Calon-Ségur, Château Phélan-Ségur ou encore Château Haut-Marbuzet.
