Château Lagrange 2017
Bordeaux - Saint-Julien - 3e Cru Classé - Red Wine -Château Lagrange has been owned by Japanese group Suntory since 1983. 30 years of work and investment by the group at the head of the Château make it today a magnificent Saint Julien wine.
2017 Vintage, Wine Advocate (Robert Parker) Tasting Notes : 93/100
Medium to deep purple garnet in color, the 2017 Lagrange confidently comes out of the glass with notes of warm blackberries, black cherry compote and blackcurrant jelly as well as nuances of Indian spices, garrigue and lilac. Medium-bodied, the palate is elegantly played with silky tannins and an impressive intensity of crunchy black fruits, ending with great length and a lot of depth. with a robust frame of tannins and lively acidity, it ends with an energizing herbal touch.
The wines of Château Lagrange have excellent ageing potential, you can let them age in the cellar for 3 to 10 years.
Serving suggestions for 12 bottles: This bottle should be served at an ideal temperature of 14 to 16°. Serve it with a nice red meat such as entrecote. It is a superb wine for tasting, it deserves to be decanted at least 1 hour before serving to give it time to open.
