Bordeaux - Saint-Émilion - 1er Cru Classé - Red Wine -The sunniest of the Saint-Émillion! A great success in this 2021 vintage, as the tasters' scores attest (96/100 from James Suckling).
Château Larcis Ducasse 2021 is a beautiful intense red colour, with aromas of red fruit and flowers on the nose, and impressive length and fullness.
On the palate, this is one of the nuggets of the Saint-Émilion vintage, with firm, well-structured tannins that are not harsh. A long, velvety finish underlines this success.
The blend for the 2020 vintage is 86% Merlot and 14% Cabernet Franc.
The wines are matured for 16 months in oak barrels, 50% of which are new.
Since 2012, the Château has been classified as a Saint-Émilion Premier Cru Classé, and this is richly deserved given the success of the wines vintage after vintage. Its predominantly south-facing clay-limestone terroir produces wines that are sunny, complex and round.
12bouteilles' advice: don't hesitate to open this bottle 1 hour before drinking. It's one of our favourites of the vintage, and will enhance stuffed poultry or a blanquette of veal!
