Les Forts de Latour 2016
Bordeaux - Pauillac - 2nd Wine - Red Wine -Les Forts de Latour 2016, is the second wine of the famous Château Latour. A sublime red wine, it is one of the greatest wines of Pauillac. It comes from around the Enclos du Château, possessing younger vines (about 40 years old) and some plots that could be used for the grand vin. This 2016 vintage has a bewitching density as well as beautiful freshness. It perfectly introduces the excellence of Chateau Latour.
Tasting notes:
The robe: dark red
The nose: aroma of ripe black and red fruits, small floral notes
The palate: fresh and of great persistence. The finish leaves a slight bitterness and coffee notes
The advice of 12bouteilles: Serve between 14°C and 16°C, it will perfectly accompany red meat in sauce. It is a wine with great ageing potential, it should be drunk preferably between 2023 and 2030.
A Vineyard of 95 hectares, Château Latour is located in the heart of the Médoc, about 50km from Bordeaux. First Classified Growth in 1855 in the Pauillac appellation according to the official classification, it is at the top of the great wines of Bordeaux. In its quest for constant perfection, the estate produces sublime wines that have lasted through the decades and will continue to flourish.
