Les Forts de Latour 2019

Bordeaux - Pauillac - 2nd Wine - Red Wine -

Les Forts de Latour 2019, is the second wine of the famous Château Latour. A sublime red wine, it is one of Pauillac's finest.

It comes from around the Enclos du Château, with younger vines (around 40 years old) and a few plots that could be used for the grand vin.

This 2019 vintage is a very big bottle, a sublime Pauillac marketed at an affordable price by the estate in March 2025 (delivery from May 2025).

Tasting notes: Les Forts de Latour 2019

Appearance: Intense violet.
Nose: A plethora of black fruit on the nose, including pure blackcurrant, plum and crunchy black cherry.Hints of cedar wood, smoke and tobacco round out this highly complex wine.
Palate: Charming and supple, with a fine tannic structure and seductive freshness. The finish is harmonious and long.

12bottle suggestion: Serve between 17°C and 18°C, as a perfect accompaniment to red meat in sauce. This is a wine with great ageing potential, best enjoyed between 2025 and 2040.

A 95-hectare vineyard, Château Latour is located in the heart of the Médoc, about 50km from Bordeaux. Premier Grand Cru classé in 1855 in the Pauillac appellation, according to the official classification, it stands at the pinnacle of Bordeaux's great wines. Constantly striving for perfection, the estate produces sublime wines that have stood the test of time and will continue to flourish.
