Bordeaux - Saint-Julien - 2nd Wine - Red Wine -Petit Lion du Marquis de Léoville Las Cases is the second wine of Château Léoculle Las Cases in Saint Julien. It is a round, rich wine with a beautiful, flavorful finish and well-present tannins.
The color offers a beautiful, intense red color.
The nose reveals a magnificent freshness combined with powerful, ripe black fruit aromas.
The palate offers a tannic structure characteristic of Léoville Las Cases wines and the finesse typical of this magnificent terroir.
The blend of the 2021 vintage is made of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 53% Merlot et 3% Cabernet Franc.
The 2021 vintage was aged for 10 months in French oak barrels, 40% of which were new.
Often considered a Premier Cru Classé by discerning wine lovers, Château Léoville Las Cases is the largest of the three châteaux named "Léoville" by its size. This Petit Lion from the Marquis de Las Cases is a blended wine and a great one from the Saint-Julien appellation.
Le conseil de 12bouteilles : Léoville Las Cases wines are always wines for long aging, this 2021 vintage, even if it is a lighter vintage, should be kept for a few years before tasting. If you want to taste this bottle, decant it at least 3 hours before tasting, serve it chilled around 17°C. It will be delicious with grilled red meat.
