In this 2021 vintage, Château les Carmes Haut Brion is a well-balanced, powerful, rich wine with plenty of freshness that is easy to enjoy today.
The grapes produced were very ripe, rich and very aromatic.
To the eye, the colour is a deep red, almost black
On the nose, red fruits such as raspberry and blackcurrant emerge, followed by woody and spicy notes
On the palate, the attack is fresh, fruity and harmonious, very well balanced, finishing with silky tannins.
Blend for the 2021 vintage: 40% Cabernet Franc, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot.
Aging in 2021: 85% in new French oak barrels, 7% in foudre and 8% in terracotta jars.
12bottle tip: This bottle is best left in your cellar for a few years, as it will improve with age! If you feel like tasting it, decant the bottle at least 6 hours before serving. It will go wonderfully with red meats and cheeses.
In the appellation Pessac Léognan, you may also like the following Châteaux Haut-Brion, la Mission Haut-Brion, Pape Clément, Carbonnieux, Haut-Bailly, Malartic-Lagravière, Latour-Martillac, Smith Haut-Lafitte, Domaine de Chevalier ...
