In this 2021 vintage, Château Lynch Bages is a typical Pauillac wine with plenty of freshness, a fine balance between black fruit and silky tannins that are still very present.
To the eye, the wine is purple in colour with hints of violet.
The nose is dominated by black fruits, blackcurrants and cherries, followed by spicy and woody notes.
On the palate, the wine's balance is charming, combining power and finesse. The wine is long and full-bodied, with crisp, silky tannins.
The blend of the 2021 vintage is 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot
The 2021 vintage was matured for 18 months in French oak barrels, 75% of which were new.
12bottle tip: Keep in your cellar, but if you ever open this magnificent bottle, decant it for at least 3 or 4 hours and serve chilled at around 18°C. It goes perfectly with red meats and firm cheeses.
